Castlecomer
Development Association was founded in 1945 and since then
has been the driving force of all social and economic development
in and around Castlecomer.
The Development Association has been the instigator of a
number of vibrant and energetic groups, which are activity
specific. These groups have been set up, some as Limited
Companies, to carry out the activities on behalf of the
Castlecomer Development Association and report back to the
Association on a regular basis.
CDA
funds various ventures in the locality from the provision
of computers for the local community hall to sponsoring
enterprise initiatives in the community school.The Association
is also involved in the Comer Lotto in partnership with
Erins Own GAA which funds its day to day activities.
The
CDA meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 8.00pm in
the Community Hall and if you would like to become involved
in the Association you are more than welcome to attend our
meeting. CDA depends on the many people who work, worry,
plan, dream and sacrifice to make our community a better
place. The people who dedicate themselves for no reward
other than to know that they are making a difference are
the heroes of our society. To these people, past, present
and future, we say a big thank you.
