• We are a Community Group working towards the common goal of providing information, assistance and support to the people of North East Kilkenny with a special focus on those experiencing struggle.

WHERE WE ARE

• We are located at Market Square, Castlecomer but work with all the communities of North East Kilkenny.

WHAT WE DO:

• Employment
  We support employment by one to one help with CV & interview preparation and organising work placements. We also run personal development courses and provide support for people parenting alone.
• Farmers
  We support the farming community by one to one support with farm men and women to maximise household incomes and form farm family support groups.
• Community
  We are involved in community development i.e. form actions that support community groups, childcare facilities, interest groups e.g. women’s forum, we also facilitate computer training in local communities.
• Youth
  We support community based youth initiatives by creating opportunities for young people to remain within the school system, by supporting young unemployed people to avail of training and other opportunities and promoting after schools and personal development programmes.
• Elderly
  Our Housing Aid supplies emergency house repairs to applicants as approved by the County Council and Health Board.
