Congrats to Deen Celtic A the new Division 1 Champions of the Kilkenny and District League. Not content to rest on their laurels Michael Maher’s charges have qualified for the Divisional Cup Semi-Final after a penalty shoot out win over Freebooters B at the Fair Green on Saturday evening. Richie Lynch put Celtic ahead only for the city to hit back to equalise. The score remained 1-1 after two periods of extra time with the Celts winning the penalty shoot out 4-3. Celtic now face the winners of Clover Utd A or Highview Athletic A with a place in the final at stake.
