The Castlecomer Summertime Festival

The Castlecomer Festival Committee evolved from the Trades Council in January 2004. The main reason for the creation of this committee was that we saw an opportunity for a summertime activity to help draw people to the Castlecomer area and in some way show off the range of facilities, business, community and social. From a social point of view the festival gives several options over the weekend for families to enjoy themselves in a variety of activities and events. The festival is held on the August Bank Holiday weekend and kicks off on the Friday night with a spectacular fireworks display.
